It appears there’s a new restaurant coming to the Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk.
According to a legal notice from the state’s Alcoholic Beverage Control Commissioner, an application has been submitted for a new on-premise restaurant liquor license, including Sundays, for 105 South Boardwalk.
The notice says Dynami LLC submitted the application and that the restaurant’s name will be Baja Bob’s. The restaurant space is located underneath the restaurant Above the Dunes. The address on the notice is one specific space, but it appears a number of the small walk-up windows have been taken over for the project.
The application was submitted to the state March 22 by Robert Frankis and says there will be 75 restaurant seats and 17 bar seats. The menu included with the application has soup, a variety of taco, salads, bowls and burritos.
The ABC commissioner is required to hold a hearing if it receives one or more documents containing at least 10 signatures of residents or property owners located within one mile of the property. The signatures must also include the mailing address for the property and the email address, if one exists. Protests must be received by Thursday, May 9. Protests can also be emailed to oabcchearingexhibits@delaware.gov.
To file an objection to the granting of this license, write the ABC commissioner at the Carvel State Office Building, 820 North French St., 3rd floor, Wilmington, DE 19801. For more information, call the commissioner’s office at 302-577-5222.
