Baltimore Aircoil Company names new manager for Milford plant
Baltimore Aircoil Company has recently named a new plant manager for its Milford facility. Drew Satorius was named plant manager effective April 4. Satorius joined BAC in 2008 as an advanced manufacturing engineer working in BAC’s corporate office. Prior to this assignment he was the manager of manufacturing processes for the North American Operations.
“Drew’s leadership ability has been well demonstrated working and collaborating with our plant operations team. His contributions in continuous improvement and manufacturing strategy have helped advance BAC’s manufacturing production capabilities in sheet metal fabrication, welding and assembly. He has designed many of the tools that are currently used to manage the plant’s day to day activities,” said Marvin Tignor, vice president of North American Operations.
Satorius earned a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from the Naval Academy and a master of science in materials science and engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He spent six years in the Navy and served as operations officer aboard the USS Hampton nuclear submarine. He replaces Greg Lowman, who was promoted to vice president of Global Product Engineering.
BAC possesses a worldwide reputation for innovation through engineering research. A successful blending of design, manufacturing and marketing has led to significant technological advancements, resulting in continued growth and development for the company.
Today, Baltimore Aircoil Company is recognized as the world’s largest manufacturer of evaporative cooling, thermal storage and heat transfer equipment.
