Bartenders to compete in Sonic Archeology Cocktail Competition at Chesapeake & Maine June 11
Chesapeake & Maine will host Delaware bartenders as they compete for Top Cocktail featuring Dogfish Head Distilling Co. spirits during the Sonic Archeology Cocktail Competition from 5 to 8 p.m., Sunday, June 11. Bartenders will have 15 minutes to develop an original cocktail creation using Dogfish spirits and a selection of off-centered ingredients, juices and mixers. The winning cocktail will be batched and bottled for sale by Dogfish Head Distilling Co. at Dogfish Head Craft Brewery, Chesapeake & Maine, and Dogfish Head Brewings & Eats.
The cocktail competition will feature mixologists from the following restaurants: a(MUSE.), Arena's, Crust & Craft, Fork & Flask at Nage, Kindle and Restaurant 55. Event judges include Sam Calagione, CEO and founder of Dogfish Head; Graham Hamblett, head distiller at Dogfish Head Distilling Co.; Rob Bagley, mixologist at Chesapeake & Maine; and Bob Yesbek, aka the Rehoboth Foodie. The winner will be announced at 7:30 p.m.
Guests can enjoy complimentary samples of Sonic Archeology, and competition cocktail flights will be available for purchase. Delicious specials from a happy hour menu will be available until closing. This is a non-ticketed event. Event proceeds and bottle sales will support Cape Henlopen Educational Foundation.
