Bayhealth Ann L. Burton Center for Children dedication set Nov. 19

The Bayhealth Ann L. Burton Center for Children will be dedicated during a ceremony at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 19, on the Bayhealth Sussex Campus, 100 Wellness Way, Milford.

To support pediatric services, Charles Burton, president and owner of i.g. Burton Auto Group, made a generous pledge to Bayhealth to name the childcare center in honor of his mother, Ann L. Burton. 

“My mother, Ann Burton, was a person of deep kindness and compassion,” said Burton. “She believed in giving back and in taking care of others, especially children. This center is a reflection of her values and a lasting way to support families in our community.”

Bayhealth President and CEO Terry Murphy said, “We’re honored by Charles Burton’s commitment to our mission and to the children we serve. The Ann L. Burton Center for Children will ensure that families across Southern Delaware and Maryland’s Eastern Shore have access to exceptional care, close to home. This gift will touch countless lives and help us build a healthier future for our region.”

The dedication event will include remarks from Bayhealth leadership, members of the Burton family and local officials, followed by a ribbon-cutting and tours of the new facility.
