Bayhealth auxiliary hears about medical residency programs
Thanks in part to its robust graduate medical education programs, Bayhealth is improving access to care for everyone living in the growing communities it serves.
As a regional healthcare leader, Bayhealth is the first in the area to launch residency programs.
The Bayhealth Foundation has joined with the graduate medical residency program directors to host informative events for community members to learn more about the impact these programs will have on the area.
Family Medicine Program Director Brintha Vasagar, MD, MPH, FAAFP, recently presented to the Auxiliary of Bayhealth Sussex Campus during a luncheon it held at a Milford restaurant. Vasagar’s presentation focused on the family medicine residency program’s benefits, including how it will ultimately provide more than 30,000 patient care visits per year, creating more access to primary care physicians for the community.
