Bayhealth partners to present free mini-medical series starting Sept. 10
Bayhealth, in partnership with the Delaware Health Force Initiative of the Delaware Academy of Medicine/Delaware Public Health Association and State of Delaware, will present the Early Fall 2025 Delaware Mini-Medical School Series — a free, six-week virtual program designed for middle school, high school and undergraduate students interested in exploring careers in healthcare.
The virtual series will begin at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 10, and continue weekly through Oct. 22. Each week will be hosted in a live online classroom format, offering participants an in-depth look into the world of healthcare through lectures led by Bayhealth subject matter experts with an opportunity to ask questions. The topics include artificial intelligence in medicine, pharmacy, kidney disease, gastroenterology, palliative care and social work for acute care.
“We’re proud to partner with organizations that share our commitment to inspiring future healthcare professionals,” said Alana King, a workforce development specialist. “This is an exciting opportunity for students of all ages to learn from experienced clinicians and explore the many pathways in healthcare.”
Participants who attend all six sessions will receive a signed certificate of completion and will be eligible to join the Delaware Youth Medical Academy, which provides additional educational opportunities and resources for students pursuing careers in healthcare.
