Beach games for teens event set July 28

July 21, 2021

Tweens and teens ages 10-16 are invited to join in an evening of fun and games at Lewes Beach from 5 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, July 28, hosted by the Lewes Public Library and Rehoboth Toy & Kite Company.

High-flying entertainment will be provided by Rehoboth Toy & Kite, with staff members on hand to offer instruction using unique kites, yo-yos and juggling equipment. The evening will culminate with a traditional beach bonfire.

“Rehoboth Toy & Kite is bringing lots of fun to this beach outing,” said Emily Ellinger, teen services librarian, Lewes Public Library. "We’re super excited to partner with them in welcoming kids to enjoy our awesome beach here in Lewes, meet new friends and learn some cool new skills.”

Space is limited, and registration is required. To register, go to lewes.lib.de.us. All toy and game equipment will be provided. Participants should dress ready to hit the sand and bring their own beach chairs or blankets for the bonfire. Call the library at 302-645-2733 with any questions.

Rehoboth Toy & Kite Company has two locations in Rehoboth Beach and carries the Delaware beaches’ largest selection of kites, unique toys and games, decorative house and garden flags, colorful yard wind spinners and windsocks. For more information, go to rehobothkite.com.
