Beebe adds to team of expert clinicians
Beebe Healthcare recently welcomed the following new clinicians to its growing team of medical experts.
Jerome Maxfield, CRNP, is a nurse practitioner who provides comprehensive care for adult patients diagnosed with solid tumors and hematologic malignancies from the time of cancer diagnosis through treatment, recovery and survivorship. Patients with benign hematology can also rely on Maxfield for care.
“My work centers around building relationships with patients and their families, and supporting them throughout the treatment journey, while being part of a collaborative care team that delivers evidence- and research-based medicine,” said Maxfield.
Charles Ward, AGACNP-BC, is an acute care nurse practitioner who works on the intensive care unit. He is passionate about providing comprehensive, outcomes-centered care for patients undergoing treatment for a wide range of medical, surgical and traumatic conditions. As a critical care nurse, Ward is trained and experienced in treating acute and critically ill patients; he provides advanced assessment, diagnostic evaluation, evidence-based care management, hemodynamic stabilization and ventilator management.
“I am proud to be employed by Beebe and am committed to optimizing the treatment process for local citizens who require critical care services,” said Ward.
L. Jane Rones, FNP-C, is a family nurse practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centered care across the lifespan. She has a strong interest in preventive medicine and is passionate about helping patients maintain their health while avoiding serious medical complications and hospitalization. Rones also specializes in managing chronic health conditions, offering ongoing support, education and coordination of care, including referrals to specialty providers when needed.
“In addition to treating acute and chronic illnesses, I am dedicated to empowering patients through education and compassionate care,” said Rones. “I value Beebe’s commitment to high-quality, community-focused healthcare and am proud to contribute my skills, dedication and enthusiasm to an organization where collaboration and exceptional patient experiences are central to the mission.”
Cory Heller, FNP, is a family nurse practitioner who sees patients in Beebe’s walk-in care centers. He evaluates and treats acute conditions that are not life-threatening yet require prompt medical attention. Heller conducts physical assessments, orders tests and interprets results, and creates treatment plans for patients who present at the clinics in need of care for minor injuries and illnesses. He sees patients ranging in age from 6 months to the elderly.
“I chose Beebe because the healthcare system has a reputation for quality patient care, patient safety and commitment to community benefit,” said Heller. “I am excited to add my experience to Beebe’s strong clinical quality and community focus.”
Tabitha Kelly, PA-C, is a physician assistant who specializes in urgent medical needs at Beebe’s walk-in care centers. She treats patients of all ages who are experiencing acute illnesses as well as those who require care for symptoms associated with chronic medical issues. Interpreting diagnostic testing results, prescribing medications and providing patient education are among her core responsibilities, along with promoting steps people can take to practice positive self-care.
“I believe strongly in whole-person approaches to care, and work to address both the physical and emotional aspects of health as I am working with patients,” said Kelly.
