Beebe honors Graham Robbins with You Make a Difference Award for September
Graham Robbins, PT, director of Beebe Medical Center Rehab Services, earned the You Make a Difference Award for September. Robbins’ team members recognized him for the excellent care he provides as well as for his leadership, team spirit and positive, can-do attitude that inspires all who know him.
From an education perspective, Robbins has had the commitment to learn and grow, striving to improve his skills as a manager and a director, regardless of his added responsibilities. His presence in education classes at Beebe Medical Center often makes other managers and directors more comfortable and allows them to open up and engage in discussion, stated hospital officials.
They said Robbins is respected and admired at all levels at Beebe Medical Center. His sense of humor is one of his best characteristics, making people smile and laugh whenever they’re around him. He has words of encouragement posted on the “Happy Graham” sign outside the Rehab Services Department.
Beebe Medical Center’s You Make a Difference employee recognition program, which was established in 2002, gives employees the opportunity to recognize their colleagues for outstanding service.
The program is similar to an employee-of-the-month program, but 18 employees can be selected annually. Each nomination, which may be submitted by fellow employees or management, must meet criteria developed by the committee.
The You Make a Difference review board evaluates eligible nominations each month.
Winners are announced in a surprise ceremony in which the committee meets in the winner’s department and presents the award.
Employees selected for the award receive a parking space with sign/plaque for a month, $100 gift certificate to the business of choice within Sussex County and a letter of congratulations and personal visit from Beebe President and CEO Jeffrey Fried.
They also get a photo for a wall plaque on the hall outside of the cafeteria, a special pin for their badges, a letter to the team member’s director and department recognition.
