Beebe names Brandi Carr manager of oncology nursing and research
Brandi L. Carr, BSN, RN, OCN, an oncology nurse with more than 12 years of experience working with cancer patients, has been named manager of oncology nursing and research at Beebe Medical Center.
Carr is based at Tunnell Cancer Center and oversees a nursing staff of 27 people assigned to radiation oncology, medical oncology, and oncology research and performance improvement.
Through an affiliation with the Delaware/Christiana Care Community Clinical Oncology Program (CCOP), Tunnell Cancer Center offers patients enrollment in clinical trials as part of a treatment option. Research nurses at Tunnell Cancer Center find open trials and screen new patients to determine their medical eligibility.

When she joined Tunnell Cancer Center, Carr had a strong background in oncology management, patient care and community outreach. She previously served as manager of clinical oncology at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, Md. During her tenure at Peninsula, she also served as a patient navigator, and she coordinated care for cancer patients.
Carr earned her bachelor of science degree in nursing from the University of Delaware. She is a registered nurse and a certified oncology nurse.
“We are proud to announce this appointment,” said Cherrie Rich, RN, executive director of oncology services at Beebe Medical Center.
“Brandi has a strong background in oncology and in management and has exhibited those skills in her role as lead clinical trials coordinator. We know that she will continue to support our focus on offering individualized, compassionate and quality care to our patients.”
