Maggie Kniele, DPT, MBA, PT, manager of rehab services with Beebe Home Care Services, said she is excited to be part of this new venture.

“This new idea is based on a revolutionary healthcare delivery model which will focus on prevention and wellness programs, and primary care services,” Kniele said. “Our goal is to provide excellent-quality care by improving access to healthcare in the most cost-effective setting, allowing residents to age in place in the comfort of their own homes.”

Greg Stevens, president of Vantage Point, operators and co-owners of The Lodge, said, “We are so proud to be opening The Lodge with built-in access to healthcare services, and we’re even more proud to be embarking on this journey with Beebe. An individual defines their best version of wellness, and they’ll be able to achieve it here through this groundbreaking affiliation. The concept of wellness is such an important part of our lifestyle today, and this collaboration will allow residents of Truitt Homestead and The Lodge to access resources more easily, conveniently, and quickly than they would outside of the community.”

According to the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, this patient-centered medical home model is a way to improve healthcare by transforming how primary care is organized and delivered. It includes five key functions: comprehensive care, patient-centered care, coordinated care, accessible services, and a focus on quality and safety.

“Many thanks to Joan Thomas, MSN, RN, FACHE, vice president of continuum of care for Beebe Healthcare, and Rita Stevens, vice president and director of operations for Vantage Point Retirement Living Inc., who were inspirational and the key drivers in planning this new partnership for the past two years,” Kniele said. “We are all very grateful and excited to be part of our new affiliation, partnering in health and independence.”
