Beginner mosaic class opens at Rehoboth Art League March 25

March 17, 2020

Rehoboth Art League will offer a beginner mosaic class, Mosaic Fun with a Nautical Theme, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Wednesdays, March 25 to April 22. It uses a variety of nautical substrates for students to create a beautiful work of art. They will learn to cut tile, and glue and grout to make a fish, mermaid, seashell, whale, etc., to keep or give as a gift.

The cost of this five-week class is $185 per person. All supplies are included in the registration fee. Mosaics have been used to decorate floors, walls, ceilings and precious objects since before written records began. Mosaics were first constructed out of colored pebbles; mosaic artists today work with cut ceramic and glass tiles.

Registration is required for all classes.  To register, go to www.rehobothartleague.org or call 302-227-8408 Ext. 112. All classes are held at the Rehoboth Art League, 12 Dodds Lane in Henlopen Acres.

The Rehoboth Art League is a nonprofit organization dedicated to making art accessible to all. This program is made possible, in part, by a grant from the Delaware Division of the Arts, a state agency, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts. The division promotes Delaware arts events on www.DelawareScene.com.
