August 7, 2025

Alonna Berry, the newly elected representative for Delaware House District 20, will be officially sworn in to office Aug. 12.

The Democrat beat Republican Nikki Miller by 121 votes Aug. 5 to win the seat vacated last session by former Rep. Stell Parker Selby, D-Milton.

Berry will be sworn in at 2 p.m. in the House of Representatives before the legislature convenes for a special session on recent property tax assessments.

Both the House and the Senate will meet to discuss concerns over the recent reassessments.
