Bethany Polish Pottery opens in Tanger Outlets Bayside

Bethany Polish Pottery opened its second location in Tanger Outlets Bayside in August. The shop brings its imported, hand-painted, decorative and fully functional pottery products to Rehoboth Beach shoppers. 

The store features a wide variety of handcrafted pottery all imported from Bolesławiec, Poland. This includes everyday bakeware, cookware, serving bowls, mugs, platters, decorative pieces, seasonal and holiday collections, and limited-edition “unikat” designs.Both locations offer more than 1,700 different products for customers to enjoy. The pottery is not only extremely visually pleasing, but also safe for use in the oven, microwave and dishwasher. 

“It’s all hand-painted,” said co-owner Mike Hanson. “So if you look at the products a little bit closer, that’s pretty amazing. They are also very versatile, which is what everybody likes about them. So it ends up being a really interesting and unique product, but also very useful.”

Owners Becky and Mike Hanson purchased the original location in May 2023, and they have continued to put great effort toward growing the business since. For the couple, expanding into Rehoboth represents an exciting opportunity to showcase their products to an even larger market. 

“Seeing the business grow and seeing the loyalty that we’re building with the customers and those kinds of things has been very nice,” said Mike. 

The new Bethany Polish Pottery shop in Tanger Outlets Bayside is open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Thursday; 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday; and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Sunday.
