Big plans in store for 2019 Rehoboth Beach Jazz Festival

Board members of the Delaware Celebration of Jazz, producers of the Rehoboth Beach Jazz Festival, are pleased to announce the expansion of the event for 2019 to include 10 days of concerts and special events.

The 2019 festival, slated for Oct. 11-20, will mark the event’s 30th anniversary. “The decision to expand the festival was simply due to opportunity and it is our 30th anniversary so we want to do something special,” said Delaware Celebration of Jazz President Dennis Santangini.

Next year’s festival will feature live music the first weekend at Rehoboth Beach Convention Center and the Rusty Rudder. Organizers will also bring back The Taste of Rehoboth event Wednesday, Oct. 16 at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center, during which 10 restaurants that will make a signature dish for attendees to sample and vote prior to the evening’s concert.

Organizers are proud to introduce a new event at this year’s festival with Art on the Rocks Oct. 6. An initiative with The Dewey Artist Collaboration, Tito’s Vodka and local restaurants, the event was an afternoon of fierce competition, pairing 15 artists with restaurants to create a signature cocktail and artwork. The public voted and the winners will be showcased throughout this year’s Rehoboth Beach Jazz Festival.
