Blood Orange Sage soda joins Matt's Homemade Sodas line

January 16, 2015

Blood Orange Sage is a recent flavor addition to the Matt’s Homemade Sodas line. The seasonal soda, developed for winter, is offered at all eight SoDel Concepts restaurants along the coast. It joins the standard flavors of Lemon Berry and Black & White (cracked black pepper, white balsamic vinegar, fresh bay leaves and palm sugar). There is also homemade quinine water.

“The flavors are unique and delicious, and they’re phenomenal cocktail mixers,” said Scott Kammerer, president and CEO of the Matt Haley Companies and SoDel Concepts. “The chef-inspired sodas are crafted for an adult palate, so they make a great nonalcoholic alternative.”

In addition to blood orange juice and sage, the new soda is made with fresh cranberry juice, orange juice and cane syrup. “This flavor is particularly versatile,” said Matt Patton, managing partner of Matt's Homemade Sodas. “We’ve tried it with bourbon, vodka and gin with great results. It’s also delicious on its own.”

Matt’s Homemade Sodas products are available at Fish On in Lewes; Lupo di Mare and Papa Grande’s in Rehoboth; Matt’s Fish Camp and Bluecoast Seafood Grill in Bethany Beach; NorthEast Seafood Kitchen in Ocean View; and Catch 54 and the first Papa Grande’s in Fenwick Island.
