Bob Willey, Milton businessman
Bob Willey, 79, passed away Friday, June 1, 2012, at home.
He owned and operated Bob Willey & Sons in Milton. Bob loved supporting his children and grandchildren in all of their hobbies. He had been a coach for the Milton Little League. Bob enjoyed stock car racing, horse racing, camping Nascar races, and street rods.
He was a member of American Legion Post 28, a lifetime member of Milton Volunteer Fire Company, Milford Elks Lodge, and Endeavor Masonic Lodge 17 A.F. & A.M.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Alton and Geneva (Venables) Willey; and a son Robert J. Willey.
He is survived by his wife Kay (Mills) Willey; daughter Debra Anderson and her husband Carl, and a son, Stephen Willey and his wife Dawn, both of Milton; daughter-in-law Cathy Willey of Milton; four grandchildren, Chris Willey and his wife Stefani, Laura Brittingham, Paige Wright, and Trenton Willey; and three great-grandchildren, Sydney Montgomery, Sadie Brittingham, and Ticen Willey.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday June 6, at Crossroads Community Church, 20684 State Forest Road, Georgetown, where friends may call after noon. A viewing will also be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, June 5, in the Chapel of Short Funeral Services, 416 Federal St., Milton. Interment will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Milton.
