Bold and Bright exhibit to open Dec. 4 at Gallery One
Gallery One in Ocean View announced its Bold and Bright exhibit will be open to the public Wednesday, Dec. 4, to Tuesday, Jan. 7.
For some of the artists, bold and bright brought to mind the exuberance of summer flowers.
Artist Joyce Condry said, “Nothing brightens up our lives like flowers. They turn a yard into a showplace, add cheer to a room and put a smile on our faces. All this joy from only a few seeds!” Her painting, “Poppy Border,” with its chain of bright red poppies is festive in red and green.
Laura Hickman’s pastel “Summer Zinnias” speaks to the feeling many are striving to capture this time of year. “During the bleak winter months, it is always comforting to look upon a painting that captures the bright and bold summer colors of a verdant zinnia garden,” said Hickman.
Cheryl Wisbrock’s watercolor “Double Whammy” features a brilliant amaryllis that bears beautiful cherry-red blooms.
