Breast cancer coalition gala seeks auction items for March 4 event

The Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition will host its 2023 Lights of Life Going Back to the ‘80s Gala from 5 to 9 p.m., Saturday, March 4, at Bally’s Dover Casino Resort. 

The totally tubular event features an epic dance party with DJ Sky Brady, live and silent auctions including exclusive trip and entertainment packages, hors d'oeuvres, food stations and an open bar. Best of all, the DBCC’s signature Survivor Showcase will feature local breast cancer survivors in ‘80s-inspired attire, escorted by local medical professionals and community business leaders.

The evening of living and giving is made possible with community support, and the coalition is seeking auction items for the event from local businesses. Donations help generate thousands of dollars for DBCC’s survivorship support and education programs.

Live and silent auctions feature a range of unique items, once-in-a-lifetime experiences, sports memorabilia, salon and spa services, jewelry, home furnishings, golf outings, beach getaways, international trips and gift cards.

Supporters may also honor the life of a breast cancer survivor through the purchase of a tribute of celebration or memorial to their legacy. Tributes will be displayed at the event.

Funds raised through the Lights of Life Gala will help DBCC meet the needs of people in Delaware with breast cancer. Generous support will allow DBCC to continue to deliver community programs of survivorship, support, outreach education, transportation and interpretation services to friends, family and neighbors battling breast cancer.
