The Brush Factory Open House Nov. 1 to unveil new merchants

October 26, 2018

The Brush Factory on Kings will host an open house from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 1, to welcome new merchants and merchandise. They join the unique collection of over 50 local artisans and merchants at 830 Kings Highway in Lewes.

New to the Brush Factory is Half Pint Ink. Owner Katie Harp features unique products fabricated at her custom letterpress and woodworking studio located in Lewes. Half Pint Ink specializes in all things letterpress, including custom hand-routed growth charts and rustic farmhouse signs. The hand-routed growth charts are the perfect gift for parents, grandparents, new baby, birthdays, Mother’s or Father’s Day, Christmas or the family that moves around frequently. Harp notes, “We hand-rout every element into each growth chart to make a truly one-of-a-kind-piece. You can personalize any of our charts with unlimited wording; be creative!”

Half Pint Ink was selected by Martha Stewart and her panel of judges as a finalist in the 2014 & 2015 Martha Stewart American Made awards.

Also new at the Brush Factory is a collection of custom-forged iron products by Tringali Iron Works. According to owner Bud Tringali, “As an artist I am inspired by the Delaware Coastal Region. If you are a local or a visitor the images of the WWII watch towers, horseshoe crabs, or fishing bring you right back to beauty of Lewes and the surrounding communities. I enjoy creating the Tringali Iron Works Wizard Sticks by blending steel and glass to capture these iconic images for those who wish to decorate their home or garden with Delaware memories.”

Beached and Rescued features an expanded line of all-natural and organic products for daily head-to-toe cosmetic and beauty regimen.  Locally produced items cater to both men and women with a focus of “Naturally Slowing down the Sands of Time.”  Owner Amy Dolan has expanded her offerings to include essential oils, and her all-natural self-care products.

The Brush Factory is open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Parking is free.  For information, contact Christine Chura, 302-745-2229 or christychura.assoc@gmail.com.
