Bunny Palooza 5K brings out crowds on a beautiful spring Saturday

This year’s 13th annual Bunny Palooza 5K and 1-mile walk combined almost 850 registered runners and walkers, along with kids and dogs for a hoppin’ good time April 19 in downtown Bethany Beach.
The fast and flat course ended on the boardwalk overlooking the ocean, and prizes were presented for category and age-group winners.
Youngsters race north on Atlantic Avenue for the Kiddie Dash.

Mark Johnson, 36, of Palmyra, Pa., finishes the 5K in 21:26.
Chris Stanley, 56, runs 22:25 for second place in the male 55-59 age group.
Sam Piazza, 63, runs 24:58 to win the male 60-64 age group.
David Travis, 69, wins his age group in 25:48.
Jen Ward, 53, runs 26:47 in the Bunny Palooza 5K.
Pickle Man, 43 runs 29:46.
Mardiny Ung, 58, is the female masters winner in 23:10.
Ginger Shaud, 28, finishes strong in 31:10.
John Boshart, 53, ran 33:52.
Karen Eller, 45, finishes the 5K in 42:06.
John Gilsenan, 82, gets bib No. 1 and runs 43:01.
Joe Perry, 77 and a traumatic brain injury survivor, ran 47:17.
