Business was booming at Rehoboth Elementary June 2, as third-grade students set up their shops and games for market day.
Teacher Kristine Wood said students were tasked with creating a perfect society. They elected town officials; created currency and jobs; paid taxes, electric bills and business licenses; authorized a police officer to write tickets, and had a lot of fun in the process.
To celebrate their perfect mini society, students offered their products and services for sale to the community in hopes of making a profit.
