Canalside Inn in Rehoboth rated top travel destination
“We’re thrilled to receive this recognition from a major travel magazine like Travel and Leisure,” said Steven Young, co-owner. “My partner and I have worked hard to create an atmosphere at Canalside Inn that is distinctive and stands out from the ordinary. Rehoboth has so much to offer - between the beach, the outlets and our top-notch restaurants - that we knew there was a market here for our concept of a sophisticated boutique hotel offering stylish rooms and a relaxed, casual setting. And people have really responded positively,” he said. “This rating by Travel and Leisure is an acknowledgement that our idea was right on target.”
The Canalside Inn features 12 distinctive rooms in five different color schemes. There is also a guest lounge with comfortable sofas and chairs and dual large-screen televisions. Guests can relax in a living-room-type atmosphere as they enjoy a continental breakfast served community style or unwind after a day on the beach or shopping. There is also a work station where guests can check their email or surf the internet. Wireless internet connectivity is also available throughout the inn.
“These tight financial times can put a lot of stress on people,” said Richard Kirchhoff, co-owner with Young.
“The chance to get away from that, even for a little while, is important. We are pleased to be able to offer a stylish getaway, at a very affordable price, in a location that’s convenient to three major metropolitan areas. It won’t break the bank to escape for the weekend.”
The Canalside Inn is located in a picturesque setting along the historic Lewes-Rehoboth Canal at the entrance to Rehoboth Beach.
