Cancer Support Community online gala set Nov. 13

The Cancer Support Community announced the 15th Annual Cocktails for a Cause: Dynasty Edition is set for 7:30 p.m., Friday, Nov. 13, online.

Guests are invited to enjoy a signature cocktail, music by Kategory5 and extraordinary auction items, all while viewing one of the most dynamic, fun virtual productions of 2020 with fellow supporters. The event raises both critical funds and awareness for the vital programming CSC provides to Delaware communities.

Ticket holders will be sent a beautiful stemless wine glass along with the recipe for the signature drink, The Red Balloon Twist.

Red floating balloons are sold prior to the event in honor/memory of those who have been impacted by cancer. Organizers hope to have attendees’ screens filled with red balloons.

Cancer Support Community Delaware is part of an international nonprofit organization with a primary mission of helping people affected by cancer enhance their health and well-being through participation in a professional program of emotional support, education and hope. It also devotes several programs to family members, including children and teens, who are dealing with a cancer diagnosis of a loved one. It is the only organization in Delaware dedicated exclusively to providing psychosocial support to cancer patients and their families in a home-like, non-clinical setting.

Programs and services are offered free of charge to ensure that they do not increase the financial burden of those already dealing with life-threatening issues.
