Movies at Midway and New Covenant Presbyterian Church were named Cape Community Champions at the Cape Henlopen school board meeting Nov. 17.
Movies at Midway has partnered with the Sussex Consortium vocational program for more than 20 years, officials said. Five days a week, anywhere from seven to 20 students can be found completing tasks and jobs to prepare the theater for opening.
Representatives from New Covenant Presbyterian Church were unable to attend the meeting, but they were recognized for their 10-year partnership in welcoming students to provide clerical services and cleaning tasks.
