The Cape Gazette accompanies local family on their 2022 summer vacation

The Barrows family, Grant, Brian, Jenn and Griffin, visited Amsterdam, Normandy and Paris on their summer vacation. The family is seen here at Longues-sur-Mer (Gold Beach), next to one of only three remaining German case mates with original WW II guns. They toured all of the major D-Day landing beaches and both the German and American cemeteries. Griffin is a senior and Grant is a sophomore at Sussex Academy. Griffin will be majoring in history next year so this was a very special family trip for them.
