Cape girls’ lacrosse hosts play day

March 13, 2023

The Cape girls’ lacrosse team hosted a three-way scrimmage against Strath Haven of Pennsylvania and Stephen Decatur of Maryland March 11 at Champions Stadium.

“Overall, there were a lot of positive things happening,” said Cape head coach Lindsey Underwood. “We lost four starters in the offensive end, so we are working to come together as a unit. The team was able to run through some of our motions and started making connections. Defensively, the team was working together well. They were able to pressure the other teams and cause some turnovers. I’m pleased with what I saw. Lindsay D’Ambrogi and Carrie Clausius both missed last season to injury and are back. We are excited for both of them to be back.”

The Vikings will open the regular season Friday, March 24, when they visit Queen Anne’s County High School in Maryland.
