The Cape Henlopen Elks Lodge 2540 Veterans Committee recently presented $1,000 donations to Home of the Brave in Milford and Race4Warriors.
The Home of the Brave received 20 $50 gift cards to help veteran residents pay for transportation, gas and incidental expenses when obtaining employment, training and permanent housing.
The Race4Warriors funds will be applied toward its annual run to support veterans of Afghanistan and Iran campaigns.
