“We had some really good swims today against them,” said Cape had coach Bill Geppert. “Milford has a good nucleus of swimmers that can give teams trouble, and they will be tough at conferences next Saturday. We had Melanie Fritchman and Josh Reinhold both qualify for states in the butterfly, and Heidi Simmons and Julie Heffernan qualified for the 500 free in this meet. They have been working so hard all season to get better.”

The Vikings take on Sussex Central Tuesday, Feb. 9, at the Sussex Academy Aquatic Center for the Vikings’ Senior Night, while Milford will host Sussex Tech at the Boys & Girls Club of Milford.

“The teams have been pushing themselves to be the best they can be as we head toward conferences and states,” Geppert said.

The Henlopen Conference Championships will be held at the Sussex Academy Aquatic Center Saturday, Feb. 13.
