Cape Takedown Club announces youth clinic and practice schedules
The Cape Takedown Club will once again sponsor a youth wrestling program at Cape Henlopen High School. The program will be run by the Cape Henlopen High School wrestling staff and others from the community. Children ages 5 to 14 are welcome to participate. Practices will be held on Monday and Thursday evenings, starting Monday, Nov. 7. Two sessions will be held each night. Session 1 is for grades K-2 and will run from 6 to 6:45 p.m. Session 2 is for students in grades 3-8 and will run from 6:50 to 8 p.m.. The cost of the program is $80.
The Cape Takedown Club will sponsor a wrestling clinic Sunday, Nov. 6. The clinic will feature Tyrant Wrestling's coach Cory Frederick. The clinic is free for children who live in the Cape Henlopen School District if they register by Tuesday, Nov. 1. Walk-ins will cost $20. Two sessions will be held. Session one, scheduled for 9 a.m. to noon, is for elementary school children. Session two for middle and high school age students will run from noon to 3 p.m.
