Cape volleyball beats Sussex Tech 3-0

Lady Vikings improve to 6-1 on the season

The Sussex Tech volleyball team played well Nov. 5, pushing Cape through the first two games in the best of five volleyball match, but the Vikings had too much overall firepower, winning 25-21, 25-14, and 25-11 to improve to 6-1 on the season. The Ravens dropped to 2-4. 

Bre Kusen had her best day at the net, putting away 11 kills, and backed that up with five aces off her serve. Megan Smith continues to be an assist machine with 30, including one no-look backward shot over her head. The Cape front line led by Bre Kusen, Angelica Kusen, Rileigh Wilson and Katie Knarr combined for 31 kills. Emily Lamb had 13 digs along the backline.

Sussex Tech was led by the overall floor games of Abigail Guy, Alexandra Johnson and Nataleigh Hunter. 

Cape goes on the road next week, facing Sussex Central on Tuesday, Nov. 10, and Indian River on Thursday, Nov. 12.
