Carper visits Chaps Pit Beef

Sen. Tom Carper, along with officials from the Small Business Administration, visited Chaps Pit Beef Aug 20. Carper makes it a point make customer calls with small businesses in all three counties during recesses from the Senate. Carper asked how the business was going, and also what SBA and state government could do for Chaps.
Carper also talked to Chaps owners about their workforce and how they retain employees. Chris and Gary Desch said they treat their employees like family. Carper also mentioned that over 3 million jobs are unfulfilled across the country.
