Catherine L. Sherman, loved the Lord
Catherine L. Sherman, 85, of Milton passed away at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2018. She was born in Milton to the late William E. and Annie Cross Donovan.
Catherine loved the Lord and attended Crossroad Community Church in Georgetown. She was a homemaker, and enjoyed working in her flower garden.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded by her son, Wayne Sherman (April 2018) and grandson, Baron W. Vincent (July 2018).
Catherine is survived by her husband of 66 years, Edwin L. Sherman; two daughters, Cheryl Joseph and her husband Harry of Milton, and Colleen Anderson and her husband Allan of Millsboro; daughter-in-law, Debra Sherman of Milton; siblings, Vincent Donovan and his wife Joanna of Delmar, Ernest Donovan and his wife Lorraine of Milford, and Virginia Hollingsworth of Georgia; sister-in-law Thelma Sherman of Milton; grandchildren, Craig Anderson and his wife Christine, Michelle Anderson, Eric Joseph and his wife Katie, Clay Joseph and his wife Kristin, Matthew Joseph, Brian Sherman and his wife Nicole; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will take place in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 416 Federal St., Milton, Tuesday, Sept. 18, at 1 p.m. A time of visitation will begin at noon. Interment will be at Henlopen Memorial Park, Milton.
