Chamber welcomes Shaffer Family Foundation as new member

The Rehoboth Beach-Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting to welcome the Shaffer Family Foundation to its membership.

The nonprofit is dedicated to supporting Delaware’s first responders who risk their lives daily to keep communities safe. Founded by Kyle Shaffer, the foundation raises crucial funds for first responder nonprofits across Delaware. The foundation’s signature event, Rally for Our First Responders, held annually at Hudson Fields near Milton, has raised more than $400,000 in just four years to benefit fire, EMS, police and 9-1-1 organizations statewide.

"Our mission is to give back to the men and women who never hesitate to answer the call for help," said Shaffer.

The 5th Annual Rally will be held Saturday, May 30.
