Checking out the Buddhas in Thailand with the Gazette

Cape Gazette readers Ken & Pam Okolowicz of Millsboro traveled to Bangkok, Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai, Thailand in September 2018. The 21-day trip left nothing to the imagination. There were plenty of Buddhas to be seen. This reclining Buddha was coated in gold, decorated with lots of bling and even lipstick. This did not indicate a female buddha but instead was the beauty seen through the sculptors eyes. The sacred temple behind is still being used for worship. The Okolowiczs finished their trip in Ho Chi Minh City, Danang, Hue and Hanoi, Vietnam in October 2018.
