Just in time for Thanksgiving, Chesapeake Utilities Corporation and Sharp Energy helped bring relief to local families in the Georgetown area by sponsoring a Food Bank of Delaware Thanksgiving for All food distribution Nov. 13.
Employees will distribute 150 Thanksgiving boxes to families. The event coincides with a $15,000 donation made by Chesapeake Utilities Corporation to host Thanksgiving food distributions in both Kent and Sussex counties. Throughout the week, 550 meal boxes filled with holiday staples, including a frozen turkey, will be distributed to area families by volunteers from Chesapeake Utilities Corporation.
