Chessa Adelaide Forer and Michael Summerlee Kenney to wed July 19

Chessa Adelaide Forer and Michael Summerlee Kenney are to be married Saturday, July 19, at the bride’s family home in Old Chatham, N.Y. Dr. Kenneth Gorsuch, retired minister of the West End Collegiate Church and faculty member at the Collegiate School in New York, will officiate. The bride, 30, teaches first grade in New York City at PS 527, East Side School for Social Action. She attended the Chapin School and Deerfield Academy. She graduated from Bucknell University and received her master’s degree in education from the Bank Street College of Education in New York. She is the daughter of Mimi Glover Forer and David Brett Forer, both of New York. The bride’s mother is a painter and photographer. Her father is a partner at Intermarket Corporation in New York. The bride is the granddaughter of the late Jane and William H. Glover of Locust, N.J.; Margery Forer; and the late David Forer of New York.

The groom, 30, graduated from Duke University and received his master’s degree in public administration at NYU’s Robert F. Wagner School of Public Service. He is a budget analyst for the City of New York’s Office of Management and Budget. Kenney is the son of Kathy Summerlee and Peter B. Kenney Jr. The groom’s mother, now retired, was an attorney with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. His father, also retired, was vice president and deputy general counsel for Delta Air Lines and previously for Northwest Airlines. Kenney's parents presently live in Atlanta, Ga., but spent many years in Minnesota and Washington, D.C. The groom is the grandson of the late Ivy and Edward Summerlee of Jacksonville, Fla., and Geraldine Kenney and the late Peter B. Kenney of Washington, D.C. and Rehoboth Beach.
