Children’s coat giveaway set at Lewes Public Library Oct. 25
The Lewes Public Library, 111 Adams Ave., Lewes, will offer free winter coats for children from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 25, in partnership with Operation Warm, a national nonprofit manufacturer of brand-new, high-quality coats.
Sizes range from 4T through youth 14/16 in a variety of colors, while supplies last. No appointment is necessary.
“Helping ensure local children have the resources they need, like warm winter coats, is just one of the many ways Lewes Public Library serves our community,” said Emily Ellinger, teen services librarian. “We’re proud to partner with Operation Warm to get these new, high-quality items into the hands of families who need them.”
Operation Warm is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that has helped more than 6 million children during 25 years of service. A manufacturer of coats and shoes for children in need, it partners with compassionate individuals, community organizations and corporations across North America to provide emotional warmth, confidence to socialize and succeed, and hope of a brighter future by using the gift as a catalyst for community connection.
