Christopher Simpler completes U.S. Marine Corps Basic Training

Private First Class Christopher S. Simpler, 19, of Lewes has successfully completed U.S. Marine Corps Basic Training in Paris Island, S.C.
He graduated Jan. 24 as a member of 1st Battalion, Alpha Company, Platoon 1005 and was named Honor Graduate of Alpha Company.
After graduating from Lewes Beach Day School, a home school, and attending Delaware Technical Community College for a year, Simpler was recruited for military service by Staff Sgt. Michael A. West.
