Cindy Lou Ambrose, Hershey Co. retiree
Cindy Lou Ambrose, 65, of Marysville, Pa., and Lewes, passed away Monday, July 4, 2022, at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes. She was born April 21, 1957, in Carlisle, Pa., daughter of the late Ray Eugene and Barbara (Bishop) Emig.
Cindy graduated with the Class of 1975 from Cumberland Valley High School in Mechanicsburg, Pa. She enjoyed a lifelong career at Hershey Company as a transport and logistics manager, retiring after 36 dedicated years. She was a dedicated volunteer for the Project Fellowship Program at Milton Hershey School.
Family gatherings were always a time of happiness, as she cherished time spent with those she held most dear. The matriarch of the family, Cindy was the glue that kept the family together. She found her calling in attending to the needs of others, whether it be her spouse, her son, or many of the members of her community. A kindhearted spirit with an incredible zest for life and an outgoing personality, Cindy always filled the room with love and positivity. Besides her family, her next greatest love was for animals that she had over the years, especially her dog Shadow. Loved by many, she will be deeply and genuinely missed by all who had the good fortune to know her.
Cindy is survived by her beloved husband of 21 years, Peter William Ambrose; her son, Joshua D. Barton (Jamie) of Camp Hill, Pa.; her brothers: Michael Emig (Susan) of Mechanicsburg, Pa., and Bill Emig (Pam) of Gardners, Pa.; her sister, Robin Emig (Joe Palese) of Millsboro; her nieces: Estella Baim of Harrisburg, Pa., whom she considered like a daughter, Emily Beatty (Richard) of Mechanicsburg, Heather Crockett of New Bloomfield, Pa.; and Alison Emig of Shippensburg, Pa.; and her nephews, Seth Emig of Gardners; and Justin Enright of New Castle.
