Public transportation service will run through Sept. 30
May 30, 2022

Lewes Mayor and City Council members, along with other local representatives, were joined by transportation officials from across the state May 23 for a kickoff ceremony of the Lewes Line at the Cape May-Lewes Ferry Terminal.

The Lewes Line, a new public transportation service offered by the city, officially began operations with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Councilwoman Carolyn Jones cut the red tape, literally, and ceremoniously launched the five-bus operation aimed at alleviating traffic issues and transporting people around town in a safe and effective manner.
