Classic toy designer to discuss new memoir Sept. 27

September 22, 2022

Legendary toy inventor Jeffrey Breslow will join a live, online discussion about his new memoir, “A Game Maker’s Life: A Hall of Fame Game Inventor and Executive Tells the Inside Story of the Toy Industry,” at 5 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 27, hosted by the Lewes Public Library and Browseabout Books.

Millions of people around the world have played with games and toys Jeffrey Breslow and his partners invented, from Simon to Operation to Mousetrap. In a captivating memoir, Breslow details how flashes of inspiration, followed by hard work and ingenuity, brought these games to life. Along the way, he reveals how he successfully managed profits during industry transitions and describes the challenge of leading his employees to overcome the tragedy of a deadly workplace shooting.

Registration is required for the Zoom-based event at tinyurl.com/zoomwithauthors.

Breslow spent over 41 years inventing toys and games since graduating in 1965 with a bachelor of fine arts degree in industrial design from the University of Illinois. At age 34, he became the youngest managing partner of Marvin Glass and Associates, the leading toy design company in the world. He was inducted into the National Toy Hall of Fame in New York City in 1988.
