Clothing Our Kids receives $5,000 from Knights of Columbus
May 18, 2025
Members of the Knights of Columbus Msgr. Francis J. Desmond Council 13348 of Lewes recently presented a check for $5,000 to Clothing Our Kids.
The Millsboro-based nonprofit provides appropriate school clothing to improve the lives of students in need at local elementary, middle and high schools, and Head Start centers. A lack of essential school clothing can have a direct negative impact on students’ self-esteem, attendance and ability to learn, and it can lead to bullying. Funds were raised through the Knights’ Octoberfest event.
Clothing Our Kids check presentation attendees shown are (l-r) Barry Grzechowiak, KOC financial secretary; Bob Blouin, Clothing Our Kids president; and Jim Blake, KOC grand knight.
