Coldwell Banker Resort Realty recognizes top agents for 2011
At Irish Eyes in Lewes, Coldwell Banker Resort Realty held its annual Awards Ceremony, celebrating the many accomplishments of 2011. Of particular importance in 2011 was the expansion of Coldwell Banker Resort Realty into the Seaford market. The office is at 22350 Sussex Highway and features more than 20 licensed professionals. With the addition of this third location, the company now totals more than 80 licensed real estate professionals serving Sussex County.
Bruce Plummer, broker and chief operating officer, led the meeting and was most proud to announce the Coldwell Banker Resort Realty’s annual compilation of Client Satisfaction Survey results. 2011 results revealed that 98.29 percent of survey respondents would recommend and/or use the services of Coldwell Banker Resort Realty again.
In 2011, business grew with an increase in both sales department volume and rental department volume. The rental division made advances in market share by increasing internet exposure for the company’s rental clients by partnering with websites such as Trip Advisor, Flip Key and VRBO. The sales department also benefited from an expanded internet marketing strategy.
Coldwell Banker Resort Realty saw a 26 percent increase in average sales price for closed transactions as compared to 2010. The company also noted a shorter average days on market total for closed listings than the reported length for countywide listings of all competitors, as reported by the Sussex County Association of Realtors MLS. The sales department also attributed sales growth to its strong referral relationships with organizations such as the Cartus Brokers Network, a strategic service center which assists more than 148,000 transferees, expatriate assignees and members each year across 160 countries, and provides referral service to more than 60 of the Fortune 100 corporations. Several of the top producing agents also hold leadership roles with the Women’s Council of Realtors Sussex Country Chapter, a network of successful Realtors empowering women to exercise their potential as entrepreneurs and industry leaders.
Top producer awards were presented to Skip Faust, Top Closed Sales Volume and Top Closed Listing Volume for Coldwell Banker Resort Realty, the Rehoboth branch; Mary Jarrell, Top Closed Sales Volume, and Dolores Desmond, Top Closed Listing Volume, for the Lewes branch; Rick Bennett, Top Closed Sales Volume, and Lee Johnson, Top Closed Listing Volume, for the Seaford branch; and Harold Marmon, Top Producing Agent for the Rental Department of Coldwell Banker Resort Realty.
Other members of the President’s Silver Circle, recognized for outstanding performance in 2011, were Sue Warrington Dowd, Wanda Rash, Henry Castelline, Michelle Mayer, Trina Joyner, Irene Tillman, Kathy Douglass, Dennis Barnes, Sue Potts, Jack O’Hollaren, Lee Marland, Scott Reagan, Dana Caplan and Peggy Zitzman.

Recognized for the 2011 Chairman’s Award, an award presented by their peers for outstanding service and professionalism, were Linda Book for the Rehoboth sales branch, Dolores Desmond for the Lewes sales branch, Patti Haney for the Seaford sales branch and Peggy Zitzman for the rental division. Also recognized with a new award this year, Coldwell Banker Manager’s Choice, for outstanding commitment to the firm, were Beth Dorman for the Rehoboth sales branch, Peggy Zitzman for the Lewes sales branch, Wanda Rash for the Seaford sales branch and Tricia Sulecki for the rental division.
