Congrats to Cape Gazette for 30 years

May 26, 2023

Congratulations on your 30th anniversary! As Dennis Forney wrote when the paper was founded, “The Cape Gazette is designed to celebrate the lives and times of the people who live and own property in what many people consider one of the most beautiful and unique areas along the Eastern Seaboard.” You have certainly done that and more. Your role as observers and reporters of our local scene is invaluable. You serve our communities with honesty and clarity, and we are fortunate to have you as a reliable source of information.

Many of us in Rehoboth Beach have read the Cape Gazette for all of your 30 years. We turn to you for important news, for entertainment notices, for obituaries of those we have lost, for local sports news, and for many other reasons. And twice a week, throughout the year, you dependably provide all of this and more. How many times have I heard conversations that include: “How do you know that?” “I read it in the Cape Gazette!”

I wish you many more decades of success! Dennis, Trish and all who came before you must be justifiably proud.
