Conley’s UMC welcomes new music director

September 11, 2025

Conley’s United Methodist Church recently announced the appointment of Jazmin Salaberrios as music director.

Bringing her considerable expertise, Salaberrios is set to enrich the church’s vibrant musical ministries.

Salaberrios is both an educator and performer who values the connection between teaching and live performance. With more than 16 years of professional vocal experience, she has toured as an emerging artist along the East Coast and partnered with organizations including the Coalition of African American Performing Artists and the Berlin Opera Academy.

Her passion for music education was shaped by her work in public schools, motivating her to pursue advanced degrees in music. Salaberrios now blends her performance and educational background to create meaningful recitals and workshops supporting community healing through the arts.

As the founding vice president of the Yudah School of Music orchestra program in Delaware, Salaberrios is committed to empowering underserved youth. She is also the founding president of Abridged Opera, an initiative focused on removing barriers and fostering inclusivity within the performing arts.

In her current role at Conley’s, Salaberrios collaborates with local musicians to enhance worship through music.

Salaberrios and the Conley’s congregation invite community members to join and participate in the church’s music ministry.
