Coolest Thing Made in Delaware nominations due by Feb. 18

February 3, 2026

From forensic tools used by investigators to aerospace technology trusted far beyond Earth’s atmosphere, Delaware manufacturers continue to make products with real-world applications that reach far beyond the First State.

The Delaware State Chamber of Commerce and its affiliate, the Delaware Manufacturing Association, are seeking nominations for the Coolest Thing Made in Delaware.

Now its third year, the contest serves to highlight the First State’s innovative products and vibrant manufacturing industry – which employs more than 26,000 Delawareans – and promote the sector as a top career path.

“Over the last few years, this contest has only reinforced the strength and creativity of Delaware’s manufacturing community,” said Michael J. Quaranta, DSCC president. “The products that rise to the top of the competition demonstrate how manufacturers here are solving complex problems, producing trusted brands and competing at the highest levels locally, nationally and globally.”

Structured in a bracket format, the competition offers an engaging and imaginative campaign that brings in the general population and educates them about the manufacturing industry’s economic outputs, innovative products, impact, career opportunities, and more.

Eligible companies are manufacturers whose nominated product is manufactured in a Delaware-based facility. The product must be made using a manufacturing process. Participants are welcome to nominate as many products as they like during the initial nomination period.

Nominations will be accepted until Wednesday Feb. 18, at dscc.com.

All qualifying nominees will be announced Thursday, Feb. 19, and the popular vote will commence. Manufacturers, employees and consumers alike are encouraged to participate in the voting. Votes can be cast once per day, per device at dscc.com.

After the popular vote round ends Thursday, Feb. 26, the top 16 products – one per company – will proceed to compete in the bracket-style contest, ultimately culminating in one champion.

The 2026 Coolest Thing Made in Delaware will be revealed at DSCC’s Spring Manufacturing & Policy Conference Thursday, March 26, at Delaware Technical Community College in Dover.
