COVID-19 cases continue to spread through Delaware

State reports 163 cases, 37 in Sussex

State health officials say as of 4 p.m., March 27, there have been 163 confirmed cases of COVID-19 statewide, with 37 in Sussex.

Statewide, cases split almost evenly by gender, with 83 female and 80 male cases. While older adults are considered a high risk group, health officials say 18-49 year olds have the highest number of cases at 74, while there were 40 cases among 50-64-year-olds and 46 among people 65 or older.  

Deaths of Delaware residents remain at two.
