Create! Studio for the Arts open house set Sept. 12 in Milton
The Rehoboth Beach-Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce and members of the Meet and Greet Committee welcomed Create! Studio for the Arts into the membership with a ribbon cutting Aug. 25. Create! Studio for the Arts will host an Open House from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 12, with class demos, activities and giveaways.
Create! Studio for the Arts is a collaborative workspace in the Shops at Paynter's Mill in Milton for art, music, yoga and creative workshops. Local artist Siobhan Duggan and local musician Nancy Curry, co-owners and primary instructors, opened the studio in September 2014. The studio has classes for all ages from toddlers to adults, with a primary focus of increasing the role of the arts in the community.
In addition to art and music, classes include yoga for children, knitting, DIY and paint workshops for adults, and children's birthday parties. This summer, Create! held summer camps that offered children an opportunity to explore each of the disciplines at the studio.
