For the 12th consecutive year, Davis, Bowen & Friedel Inc. has ranked in Building Design + Construction Magazine’s  annual Giants 400 list, recognizing the nation’s top architecture, engineering and construction firms in the country.

This year, DBF is positioned at No. 39 on the Top Engineering/Architecture Firms report, advancing three spots from last year’s ranking at No. 42 and maintaining its reputation as one of the top-rated EA firms in the nation.

The magazine annually ranks the nation’s largest AEC firms based on reported revenue data supplied and verified by the respective firms. Along with the firm’s overall Top Engineering/Architecture ranking, DBF was recognized on over 30 other building sector lists. The firm ranked at No. 14 in the Top 70 Multi-family Sector Engineering and EA Firm list and No. 41 in the Top 70 Retail Sector Engineering and EA Firm list. Other categories DBF ranked on include sports facilities/recreation facilities, government buildings, educational structures, parking structures, religious buildings, healthcare facilities, retail and hospitality buildings, and more.

DBF projects over the past year that contributed to the firm’s recognition include architecture, civil/site engineering, surveying and landscape architecture for the Sandhill Fields Sports Complex in Georgetown; civil/site engineering for Sussex Consortium and Rehoboth Elementary School; and residential subdivision planning and engineering at Coastal Club in Lewes.

“Not only do we appreciate the opportunity to create functional, safe, and aesthetically pleasing spaces in our communities, but we get to do it with clients and staff that truly make the design experience enjoyable and meaningful. Getting recognized for what we love to do is an added benefit,” said DBF President Michael R. Wigley, AIA, LEED AP.
